Scouting Report:

One of the longest tenured Raiders on the team, along with Shane Lechler, Janikowski has one of the strongest kicking legs not only in the game today, but also in NFL history. He showed as much when he tied the NFL record of 63 yards, for longest field goal in the Raiders’ opening game of the 2011 season. Raiders fans know that he is capable of even longer kicks, and that he could break that record at any point. Janikowski has had points in his career when he was not as accurate as he could be, but he has continued to improve on that with every year in the league. In recent seasons, he has become a marker of consistency for the Raiders, and has proven to be one of their best offensive weapons. Both the Raiders and the opposing team know that when the offense crosses mid field, they have entered into Sebastian Janikowski’s field goal range.
