Scouting Report:

Denarius Moore showed a lot of promise during his rookie year. Moore is an explosive route-runner that is excellent at running deep patterns. For a smaller receiver Moore gets off press coverage very well, he plays like a 6’3′ 215 lb. receiver. He has very solid hands and does a good job of tracking the ball. Moore is willing to sacrifice his body for a catch and shows no fear leaping for a ball in the middle of the field. Moore will need to improve his short and intermediate route running. Greg Knapp will call substantially less deep passes than Hue Jackson did, Moore will have to adapt to the change. Moore needs to be more of a consistent threat on the offense. He will have a huge game, then disappear for a 3 or 4 game stretch. He had the same issue in college, and it’s what prevented him from being a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Overall, Denarius Moore has the potential to be a really good receiver, he just needs to avoid getting Johnnie Lee Higgins Syndrome.
