David Ausberry is an extremely talented player. He fell to the 7th round of the draft because he didn’t have a true position. Was he an over-sized Wide Receiver or a undersized Tight End? He didn’t have a great rookie year because he didn’t have a great understanding of the playbook and coaches didn’t  know where to play him. This offseason he added 23 lbs. to his frame, and looks to take the starting Tight End position. David Ausberry is an above-average route runner and has good hands. He good leaping ability and is willing to out-muscle defenders for the ball. If Ausberry has adjusted to his added weight and learns how to use his size, he’s in line for a big year.
