A trade between Seattle and the Raiders for Matt Flynn is “imminent”. While I don’t doubt that the Raiders have been in trade talks with Seattle, nothing is sure at this time. It would certainly add validity to the possibility that Palmer wants to leave, as a trade for Flynn would cost almost as much as keeping Palmer.
Shane Lechler has signed with the Houston Texans, so we come to the end of another era of all pro punters in Oakland. But don’t despair RaiderNation, we are also at the beginning of the next one.
This week, we will take a look at how well I did with my predictions over the last few weeks (or should I say how bad I did! LOL). We will also discuss what has transpired so far in free agency, at least as far as the Raiders are concerned.
I am sure that many of you have been hearing all of the rumors going around that Palmer is going to get cut. There have been articles saying that Palmer has all of the leverage, and he knows if the Raiders cut him, he will be the most sought after QB in FA.
This week we will finish up our discussion on the possible salary cap casualties on the Raider roster. We have already discussed all but the defensive side of the ball who are set to be either exclusive rights free agents, restricted free agents, or unrestricted free agents.
This week, we will discuss the salary cap, the different franchise tags, and dead money in an effort to answer questions from some of our RaiderNation brethren in Scotland, who did not grow up watching football as all of us did.
.This week, we are discussing those players who are free agents as of March 2. But before we go into that, let’s take a quick look at the results of last week’s poll where we asked “Which non-free agent Raider is most likely to get cut or traded?”
