And so it Begins: Aaron Henry First to be Cut

He also followed that tweet up with a “don’t cry for me Argentina” type of statement:

Henry signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent rookie. He signed a standard 3-year deal that all undrafted rookies sign for (per the CBA), obviously contingent upon making the 53-man roster. You can take a look at his Silver and Black Daily profile here. Henry did not record any stats in the three preseason games.
The Wisconsin grad was a longshot to make the team in the first place (as are most undrafted rookies not named Rod Streater) so it doesn’t come as a huge surprise. It doesn’t make the cuts any easier for anybody involved. 1 down and 11 more to go before Monday’s 1:00pm deadline to get down to 75 players.
