Jacoby Ford Leaves Game Early with Foot Injury
Jacoby Ford went down in the first half of the Oakland Raiders game vs. Arizona. He caught a 9 yard pass from Carson Palmer and got up very gingerly. He limped off the field and at first refused the help of the trainers. He looked to be very frustrated, which usually means the player knows he won’t be returning any time soon. Eventually the trainers tended to him and took him into the locker room to be further evaluated.
The team announced in the second half that it was a foot injury and that he would not be returning to the game. Ford only played 8 games last season as the injury bug hit him. He has come back with a vengeance during this offseason and during training camp looking every bit as good as he did in his rookie season.
The third year player out of Clemson was looking to redeem himself after a sub par first preseason game vs. the Cowboys in which he dropped a couple of passes and seemed to loaf it after an interception while running (or jogging) after the interceptor. He leaves this game with 2 receptions for 21 yards. Stay tuned as we keep you informed as to the nature of his injury.
